A Small Change That Makes a Big Difference at the Bench

Blog

At Forster, we listen to our customers—and about a year ago, that led to the release of our Curved Linkage Arms for the Co-Ax® Press.

These curved links improve access to your cases and give you more clearance when changing jaws. While that might not matter much to some, reloaders with larger hands (like my dad and his “grizzly bear paws”) know how much of a game-changer this is!

Before we released ours, aftermarket versions became popular—but many of them lacked a critical feature: a hard stop. Without that stop, camming at the bottom of the stroke could be compromised, leading to inconsistent headspace and seating depths.

That’s why our curved links were designed with a built-in stop that hits the back of the yoke arm. But here’s what we’ve seen in the field:

  • With straight links, there’s virtually no flex—you get a rock-solid stop.
  • With curved links, if you naturally “bump” the handle at the bottom, that added force can flex the linkage slightly, possibly leading to variation—or in rare cases, even damage to your B-Pin or e-clip.

Stop With Straight Link
(stop built into yoke arm against the factory straight link)

Our Recommendation?

Install one curved link and one factory straight link.
You’ll get better access and a more rigid stop—giving you the best of both worlds. (Plus, you can split a set with a reloading buddy.)

Press With Straight And Curved
(press with one straight and on curved link)

Thanks for continuing to trust Forster for precision you can feel with every pull. We may be changing the ordering so that these can be ordered individually soon, for now, buy a set and share with a friend!
