Long Barrel Receiver Extensions Are in Stock (It’s been 15 Years…)

Great news! After about 15 years, we’ve brought back a run of our Long Barrel Receiver Extensions (part # EXT100) for the Forster Universal Sight Mounting Fixture. These extensions allow you to accurately drill and tap on barrels up to 26 inches long, including the installation of front sights in one step—and they’re now available on our website!

Quick Setup Guide:

1. Install the Extension:
   • Replace the original receiver Support Pad Shaft (UF1000-103) with the Extension (EXT100-100), keeping it at the lowest position.
   • Lower the V-block shafts (UF1000-102) and tighten the Extension’s side-locking screw with the provided 3/16” Allen wrench.
2. Position and Adjust the Barrel:
   • Place your barrel on the V-blocks, adjusting the front and rear heights for any taper.
   • Secure the rear C-clamp lightly, then raise the V-blocks to bring the barrel into contact with the drill bushings.
3. Final Adjustments:
   • Make sure the recoil lug doesn’t contact the Extension’s base, and ensure everything is square and flush.
   • Secure both C-clamps before drilling or tapping, and remember to remove the front C-clamp when working on the front portion of the barrel.
